ABOUT ME

My Tale
I created "Wave N' Wear" as an idea inspired by my passions for surfing & thrifting. I started up back in 2023 after being invited to share what I love at a local community market. Thrifting vintage and secondhand treasures has always been a favorite pastime of mine. I've always been drawn to various fabrics & textures, & eye-catching colors and patterns. I've never held back expressing myself through clothing, always having a distinct style, even back in my grade school days. Often turning heads in the hallways with bold statement pieces, and sometimes even getting in trouble for it.
Growing up in the suburbs of Ohio, my interest in surfing didn't come until later on, when I moved to the Oregon coast. I knew I always belonged by the sea, drawn to the ocean's ability to renew and strip away, and I wanted my life to be made simple. So I not only adopted surfing into my life, but also came to find it to be a brand new way of life all together.
And so I combined these two passions into my brand to share with others. Reviving things back to life and giving it new purpose just as the ocean has done for me, is something I have built into the creation of WN'W. Rather than support the mass production of fast fashion, which has contributed to waste & pollution in our precious waters.

My Vision
I came up with the name "Wave N' Wear" not only because I like to spend my time in the waves, but also because waves are all around us. They are in sound, motion and in everything that contains energy. Whether it's the wave of a hand or a ripple in the ocean, each one is uniquely special much like one's individual style. And when one finds their true style or finds confidence in what they are wearing, it is then they can proudly "Wave N' Wear."
I believe all clothing is a piece of art, a direct reflection of ones true self, and raw emotion. It's a medium with no bounds and endless possibilities. It is formless, genderless, & ageless.

My Dream
Meet "Lorelai" she's my 1988 Blue Chevy van and she is a big inspo for WN'W. You may ask "what's an old van have to do with selling vintage clothing?" Well my answer in short is everything. "Lorelai" is a symbol of the life I have forged my way to build for myself on the Oregon Coast. She's an emblem of a simple life by the sea, and of my dream to be able to work for myself on my own terms, just doing what I love. So naturally I have tied her into my brand, while using her spacious self to travel & haul all my thrifted gems around to markets up & down the coast.
